START/FINISH Racers will continue down Jennings Randolph Road after the start of the race. You will continue on this road and past the Howell Beach area to your left. The start of the race will feature a moderate downhill grade at the beginning of the race and uphill to the end. When returning back up the hill past the Shaw Beach area to the finish line runners should run on their left side of the road to avoid any vehicular traffic. After completing the race a race official will obtain your name to verify finish and your time. OVERLOOK—RANGERS STATION AREA After the downhill portion and passing the beach area, racers will come to a rangers station on their right. Runners will make the next right and continue on this road past the station and the maintenance garage. After passing the maintenance garage to their right, racers will keep to the left and enter the dam. Racers should not enter the access road that goes off to the right below the dam. Racers should stay on their right side of the road. SPILLWAY AREA—HALFWAY POINT Racers will continue across the dam and then bear left across the spillway. After reaching the end of the spillway there will be a table with water on their right. Racers should circle the cone and reverse the route to the end. Racers should run on their right side of the road and across the dam and spillway. You can view the race map and the elevation change in the attached picture.
