STICKS AND STONES MAY BREAK MY BONES.... I remember a bully in the 3rd grade. He would always beat up and harass people and then be a smart-mouth after. He used to say Sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me. I was SO irritated with him... So much so that I went over to our media center in the corner of the classroom, pulled the largest Encyclopedia Britannica volume I could find, and I walked over to him and beat him on the side of the head with it. He was screaming, and I was promptly taken to the principles office. The principle was trying not to laugh, but that at one point she just burst out laughing. She knew who the bully was, and said that she was letting me off the hook because of my originality... and I got a one time warning not to do it again. Dr. Ellison was a tough, no-nonsense, pant-suited principle, but she could barely control herself that day as Ill never forget how she kept laughing and laughing at what I did.
