STILL ON MY MIND TILL TODAY ......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From some of the comments of some Nigerians on this page, I see that not a few but many Nigerians have been so thoroughly bashed by the hardships of life and our wobbling economy, so thoroughly punished by failed leaders that we are now not only creating excuses for failure, we are also actively seeking ways to adapt to the suffering that our leaders have unleashed on the land. Let me give you an illustration so you will understand what I am saying and you will see the extent to which African leaders have made the lives of their subjects almost worthless. Centuries ago, we Africans were living in various kingdoms and empires. Life was not paradise but it was very very good! It was so good that when the slave raiders came to capture our forefathers and foremothers, our ancestors would run into the forests as fast as they could. They simply did not want to go and live as slaves in foreign lands. They knew that whatever problems they had in their villages, life was still good. They still had honour, dignity and freedom. For the millions of our ancestors captured and sold into slavery, they left the shores of West Africa with tragedy, sadness and horror written on their faces. They valued honour and as they were stripped of their dignity, they knew their souls had left them. That was then. Today, our lives after independence are even further bastardized, we are emotionally raped and so psychologically battered that if a slave ship from America should arrive Apapa Port today, I can bet you the vessel will be full in less than 10 minutes. Some will even drown in the process while others will stampede themselves to death while trying to enter A SLAVE SHIP, just as some killed themselves during the last immigration interview over jobs with practically useless salaries. The most interesting thing is that most of those who will be the first to jump on the slave ship are those shouting now that the government is trying. It gets to a point where a slave is so thoroughly tortured that it starts to defend its master, adoring the very chains of torture around his neck and praising his master to the high heavens for every crumb thrown at him. At that point, the slave does not think about the past or future any more, he just wants to survive the mind-numbing brutality of the present, thus becoming subhuman, just a rung above the beasts of the earth. May God help us and correct every errors in these Nation call NIGERIA... Hmmnnnnnn Its well in Jesus name Amen I still remain your friend: Olanrewaju... I loyal oooo
