STOCKTON Production Operative Pactiv Corporation based in the USA is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of food & drink packaging materials across a broad range of products including plastics, paper and aluminium. Our site in Sedgefield, Co Durham manufactures plastic food trays & punnets which we supply to all the leading supermarkets in the UK and Ireland. Pactiv Sedgefield is looking to recruit a number of people to help meet our production targets. The positions will be factory based and will give the successful candidates experience of working in all areas of the production environment. No previous experience is required as candidates will receive ongoing training in the position. Successful candidates will be working shifts as we currently operate a 3 on 3 off shift rota working 12 hour shifts. You will therefore be working 3x 12 hour days with 3x days off followed by 3x 12 hour nights etc with shifts starting at 7am and 7pm respectively. The positions will require you to work weekends and bank holidays if your shift happens to fall on one or more of these days. You will be paid fortnightly in arrears and the hourly rate of pay is £6.65 for 40.25 hours per week. In addition to this, an attendance bonus of £45.56 will be paid for 100% attendance meaning the gross pay will be £580.89 per fortnight. The positions will last for between 4 and 12 weeks. There may be a chance that some or all of the positions could be made permanant but this is not guaranteed as it is dependant on Pactiv winning contracts with our customers.
