STONE OF THE WEEK 57 – CHRYSOCOLLA Zodiac Stone of Sagittarius, Taurus and Gemini – Crown, Throat, and Heart Chakra’s. Water Element. Chrysocolla is a very supportive goddess energy stone that will inspire verbal expression. It can empower both men and women to communicate in a clear, loving way. It has powerful energies to aid truthful and heartfelt loving communication. It will open your throat chakra and energize the words you speak, and may help you to choose the right words to speak to aid emotional healing in others. It is very useful in Mediation, Public Speaking or for Therapists where the right spoken word at the right time is so important. It was historically used by the American Indian people, to bring a strengthening and calming energy. Known as a teaching stone, it can assist you to communicate and learn while teaching. Chrysocolla will also help to stimulate a greater degree of inner knowing, and inner strength. It can help you to remain calm when things in your life are in flux, and especially if events are unexpected. It has a good energy to aid anxiety and stress as it both soothes and calms to relieve stress. When you are feeling angry, and find it hard not to mouth off at others with angry words, keeping a piece of this stone on your body... preferably at the throat or heart chakra, may benefit you, It can link the heart and throat chakras with the base or root chakra. Chrysocolla is lovely to use in meditation. The vibration helps to draw off negative energy, and aids in releasing fear of the unknown. It may help in personal relationships when they become difficult, as it will aid communication between the couples. This energy will help you both to speak truthfully from the heart and achieve an understanding of the situation from the others perspective. Commonly found in copper mines, it is often found with other copper based stones and may occur in and with quartz or calcite. Gem Silica is a crystallized form of this stone where Chrysocolla is infused in quartz. It is commonly found with Shattuckite, Malachite, Azurite and with Cuprite it is known as Sonora Sunset. Deposits of Chrysocolla usually occur in the massive form, rather than in crystals. It has been found in Zaire, Zimbabwe, the Congo, Russia, Czech Republic, Spain, Britain, Australia, Indonesia, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Israel and the USA. The colours of these crystals range from a medium greenish blue, through to light turquoise blue, green and blue-green. These crystals are often very attractive, with many stones naturally having beautiful swirls and patterns. Evan’s bit: Our DG friend Zora owns the most beautiful piece that we have ever re-homed. It is in her ring. It is like looking out of an airplane window at the Bahama’s…two tone blue surrounding the “islands”…amazing! One of my fave stones.
