STONE THEM! It is interesting to know that men have not changed over the centuries. Moses sent out 12 spies to spy out the promise land. 10 of the 12 brought an evil report that they are not able to go up to possess the land. Two of them, Joshua and Caleb brought a good report; in fact they said, we be able to possess the land; let us go up at once. While they were giving the good report the multitude spoke of stoning them. Those who believed the evil report were wasted in the desert and couldnt entered into the promise land. It was only Joshua and Caleb who went into the promised land because they chose to believe. The promise land is not a type of heaven but our inheritance in Christ. Today those of us who preach the grace of God and the good report of the gospel are being stoned by those who preach an evil report. The number ten in the Bible speaks of the law while two speaks of the gospel. And the law is not of faith (Gal 3:12); and anything that is not faith is sin (Rom 14:23). God sees the law as an evil report in the New Testament. Preaching the law will not bring men into their inheritance in Christ. It is the word of His grace that is able to build men and give them their inheritance in Christ. Believe the gospel and be saved.
