STOP BEING SCARED; JUST LEAP For MANY of us, we have been living scared not doing the things that we have been created to do, and not being the people we have been created to be. Today, be inspired to LIVE. You may be hesitant and fearful at first, but there is no time like the present. In this Foster Friendships Friday repost, David Kravitz, my friend/fellow colleague, as his fun, loving self as the adventure coach shows us that sometimes you just have to defy gravity, and “Take the Leap” in his first bungee jumping experience in Thailand. THANKS David for the inspiration. David Kravitz posted: One of the highlights of my recent trip to Asia was going bungee jumping. Here, you are lifted almost 200 feet off the ground by a little platform, your feet are tied together to a cord, and you are then told to jump off the platform, eventually being caught by your feet. In theory its completely safe, there are no obstacles to hit, there is no sudden stop, dozens of people do it every day with no incident. However, when you are at the top of the platform looking down, and being told to jump off, being told in theory it is safe does not do much to reassure you that things will work out. Sometimes in life, we just do not know what is going to catch us, but that doesnt mean we dont need to take a big leap anyway. Maybe its moving somewhere new, knowing that you really want to live there. Maybe its leaving a job that is making you miserable, even though you dont know anything about the next job. Maybe its leaving a relationship which isnt working even though there are no prospects on the horizon. When all we have left to stand on is a tiny platform, it may just be time to take a leap and trust that something is going to catch you. The free fall may be scary, and may be unknown, but eventually you end up in a much better place. Take the leap. Once in a while its good to just leave what isnt working and trust that things will work out down the road. Its a risk worth taking. P.S. Here is a video of me after the leap! https://youtube/watch?v=Zg-0ZRaGrLA
