STOP PRESS, MiSCHIEF MAKERS! Distinguished Forumites, I have read on several facebook walls (what I call) an attempt by some writers to blackmail the person of Hon Abiodun Isiaq Akinlade by erroneously concluding that the Honourable is standing for an election to get the House of Representative Ticket. While I ordinarily would not want to react to this hasty conclusion, I am compelled to put these few lines up to set the record straight! It is a fact that in politics most times, The more you look, the less you see and so I wonder why some mischief makers with little or no informations will rush to facebook at the release of every fabrication. Yes, the PDP Guber primary election is still 2 days away and Hon. Akinlade has not told anyone that he is backing out from the race much as we are aware that the party is already zeroing down on a particular aspirant (which is a public knowledge anyway). As a discipline party man, he believes the Party is supreme, and whatever decision the party takes should be adhered to. Those heating up the polity unnecessarily should stop the campaign of calumny as it is obvious that they have more to loose if the fire on the mountain rages on. Without sounding immodest: I think any good student of history must know that if PDP in Ogun is really interested in winning the 2015 election, the name Akinlade must be factored into the political process. Lets be calm as we continue to wait for the partys official position. Thanks and Godbless!
