STORY STORY..,............Story The title of my story is the COMPETIPHOBIA POLITICAL NNA MBE. (Part one) Once upon a time there lived one Nna Mbe in one of the largest communities in Ohafia, Abia State Nigeria. Nna Mbe claimed to be one of the most sought after politicians in Abia State. Nna Mbe claimed that while he was in the university he used his cult connections to mobilize students for a former Governor of the state. After Nna Mbe mentors exit as governor he thought he had acquired enough experience to be on his own. In 2010 Nna Mbe jumped into the arena and said he was contesting for the Federal House of Representatives as an independent candidate. People asked Nna Mbe if that was possible in the current political set up. Nna Mbe emphatically told them that by his legal background he was on the right track. Many politicians began to wonder if they had the authentic copies of the Nigerian constitution and the Electoral Law. When he eventually realised that he had a vague knowledge of the electoral law, he decided to join his mentors one-man party, thinking he would have a free ticket to actualize his ambition. He went about telling people he had been adopted by his oga as the sole candidate. Little did he know there was a political super weight by the corner waiting for the whistle to be blown. He realised this on the day of their primaries. Like the story of the lion and the monkey, Nna Mbe disappeared under the rock and could not stand for the primaries. Nna Mbe reappeared again when he claimed to have joined a core Igbo party. His expectation of free ticket was cut short as the party pegged their nomination form at one million naira. The speed at which Nna Mbe ran to the north to seek refuge would have earned him an Olympic gold medal. His strength was not wasted as he came back with a free ticket from one northern party with some takeoff grant. The stage was now set for Nna Mbe to apply his second antics. This time Nna Mbe went to two Ezes and trick them to sign a document for him, purported to have been signed by them for and on behalf of all the communities in the constituency. This he took to his northern sponsors to make them believe he had been adopted by his constituency and extort more money from them. In the said document which he called IRREVOCABLE CONVENANT, Nna Mbe tricked them that he will release to the constituency 60% of his gross income (as a member of the Federal House of Representatives) through the Ezes to manage for the constituency. This proved beyond reasonable doubt that Nna Mbe is Nna Mbe whether in its shell or in human form. Even in the developed world which public servant has been so liberal? Nna Mbe started his campaign with only his car and two assistants. His campaign was centered within his community and occasionally at he motorcycle park. The result of the 2011 proved he did not actually campaign to win, but to have good ground to pocket the grant given to him by his gullible northern sponsors. He could not score up to 2% of the total votes cast at that elrection, but he was able to buy a new jeep immediately after the election. Nna Mbe has come again. BEWARE. To be continued in part two.
