Animals must spend 5 days, that includes a full weekend, in order to be off stray hold and pulled for rescue. They also must have had their rabies shot, done on Wednesdays, before they will be allowed to leave the shelter. Dogs that are not on stray hold can be PTS on Wednesdays at 7AM. For any rescue that wants to have a dog tagged for them by Halfway Home Rescue, an email must be sent to Kristy Ritter at whitetiger4me@hotmail by 10 pm CST Tuesdays. IF AN EMAIL IS NOT SENT TO TAG A DOG BY 10:30pm CST ON TUESDAYS, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THE DOG WILL BE SAFE THE NEXT MORNING FROM EUTH. HAVING A DOG PULLED BY HALFWAY HOME RESCUE POLICIES - PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POLICY (UPDATED 4-4-13): THE SPRINGFIELD DOGS WILL HAVE ANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING… WHIP, HOOKS, TAPE OR ROUND WORMS AS WELL AS OTHER INTESTINAL PARASITES SUCH AS GIARDIA OR COCCIDIA SO YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR RESCUED DOGS CHECKED AND TREATED UPON ARRIVAL. **A copy of your 501 c 3 and or rescue licenses from your state is required. ** There is a $15.00 pull fee for each animal…the pull fee covers dhlp, bordetella and rabies (if old enough.) **Boarding is available at $7.00 per day per animal. ALL the dogs that come from the Springfield pound WILL HAVE KENNEL COUGH! **We will start the dogs on antibiotics $2.20 per day per dog…some dogs recover quickly while others may take a few weeks OR EVEN MONTHS. **Spay/Neuter and HW Test is AS FOLLOWS (pending appointment is available before transport): Females: under 75lbs $65.00 for spay plus $15.00 for HW Test, 75-95lbs $75.00 for spay plus $20.00 for HW Test Males: under 75lbs $55.00 for neuter plus $15.00 for HW Test, 75-95lbs $65.00 for neuter plus $20.00 for HW Test. PLEASE NOTE: ADDITIONAL COSTS APPLY IF SPAY/NEUTERS ARE NOT STRAIGHT FORWARD (IN HEAT, CRYPT, ETC) **Flea Medication (as required for transport) $15.00 **Drontil Plus (Generic) $8.00 small (0-19lbs), $12.00 medium (20-44lbs), $18.00 large (45-89lbs), and $24.00 x-large (90-120lbs) **All transports require health certificates which cost $20.00 per animal. **Leash and collar is required for all transport so are required unless you are picking up the animal. The cost is $5.00 for the pair. **Some dogs require extra care while at our facility such but I always try to talk with the receiving rescue before administering anything beyond the basics. The receiving rescue would be responsible for all additional care expenses. **ALL invoices must be paid the night before transports leave…We use paypal for all our transactions. **We DO NOT TRANSPORT so arrangements must be made for pick up at our Collins Missouri location. **We are happy to assist with dogs that are coming from the pound but want everyone to know that the majority of our facility is all out door, with dog houses and hay when there is cold weather. The dogs will smell but we cannot bathe them due to the volume we care for at one time **If this does not work for you or your rescue please DO NOT ask me to tag an animal and leave that animal without a place to go!
