STREET DANCER VS STUDIO DANCER what is the meaning of this? When someone say that their a street dancer/Hip hop an not a studio dancer, doesnt mean that being a studio dancer is some how wrong, it only meant each learnt in 2 different places. An this was based on the fact back some years ago when street dancing/Hip Hop wasnt taught in dance studios like it is today, so learning in a studio (a building) isnt some how bad, we are just saying we learned in other places other then dance studios, I.e bed room, local record shops, backyard, clubs, our living room, grandma house etc, but dont get it twisted learning in this places doesnt mean a street dancer lack in techniques or structure, we just didnt use counting to make us move, because it was all done on our natural feel of the grooves and musical timing that was passed down from those before us. But now in these modern times of street dance/Hip hop which is now being taught in places called dance studio all over the world (the real hip hop/street) because of the overwhelming popularity of the culture, so now street dancers are bringing that knowledge to the dance studios where many students dont, didnt have any clue about it..so now I teach inside that building(studios) where I once didnt or wasnt wanted... PS.. street dancer and hip hop dancers are still learning in those same places I mentioned at the top, THIS WILL NEVER CHANGE! !
