STRENGTH FOR TODAY (NO STUMBLING) We live and mix with people at all times, so it is virtually impossible to avoid conflict or offense. Simple things such as,” you did not greet me.” to things such as, ”you took from the message I asked you to deliver to bro so and so,’ are enough to create problems between people. In the Bible, we have the example of the Lord to follow. He said it was impossible for there to be no offense, but we should rather forgive the offender. To stumble it means we are not looking at where we are going, but at something else. When you are offended it is very easy to take your focus off of God’s word and concentrate on the things that are constituting a source of annoyance to you. In 1 john 2:9,10 it says ,” He who says he is in the light and hates his brother is in darkness until now. He who loves his brother abides in the light and there is no cause for stumbling in him.” In Ps 119: 165, it says,” great peace have those who love your law. Nothing shall cause them to stumble. As long as you are walking in love you will not miss it and stumble in any way. Offenses will come but the choice is ours to fall or to remain standing. It is to our advantage that we remain standing. Keep your focus on the Lord and on His word. Do not allow distractions stop you from attaining your goal In Christ. No one or situation should be important enough to hinder your progress in any area of your life, so stay focused on walking in love and fulfilling the words of the Lord in every area of your life. His blessings will literarily chase you in your every day walk with Him. Confession: Though offences are bound to come but I have an inner ability through the spirit of God to gain victory as I walk in love and forgiveness.
