STS Information for All Undergraduate Students 13 Jun 2014 The Socialized Tuition System (STS) will replace the Socialized Tuition and Financial Assistance Program (STFAP) effective 1st semester AY 2014-2015. The STS prescribes the tuition rates by assigning tuition discounts to undergraduate students enrolling in AY 2014-2015. To facilitate the assignment of discounts and to determine their tuition rates, all UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS, including JDs and MDs, must log in to STS Online and accomplish the online forms before the 1st semester AY 2014-2015. Students who wish to apply for tuition discounts under STS need not submit any documents. Students who will apply must log-in and submit their online application forms according to the STS application schedule and procedures posted in https://sts.up.edu.ph/. Students who do not wish to apply for tuition discount must still log in and explicitly indicate their intent not to apply in STS. Students who will not apply for tuition discounts in STS or fail to log in to STS Online within the application period will not be granted tuition discounts under STS. Students who are qualified dependents of UP employees must still log in to STS Online. To qualify for tuition discounts from STS, the student must: Be a Filipino; Be a bonafide undergraduate student. Except for students of Law and Medicine, the applicant must not have a bachelor’s degree. For new students, the applicant must have an admission slip; Never have been adjudged guilty of any offense that carries a penalty of more than 30 days suspension; and Be in need of financial assistance as determined by the University. Students who are not qualified for tuition discounts must contact the Office of Scholarships and Student Services (OSSS) in UP DIliman or the Office of Students Affairs (OSAs) in your campus for information on other financial assistance programs of the University.
