STUCK ON SNOW AND ORDERS FOR OTHERS- That pretty much sums it up and says it all. Two shows down and two to go, I got a couple of orders from those who attended my shows in the last two weeks, and so, I decided to get them done and move on. While at my shows, I did come upon a few new ideas...one from just looking around at what is done and out there and others were suggestions coming from a few customers. I love doing the shows if for no other reason than getting ideas. The first piece shown here is a goose egg I created for this little snowman. The customer is a lady who has enjoyed my work before and had an unfortunate time with this goose egg design I sold her, so she came back to see if there was anything I could do about this egg. Many times when people come back to me, I can repair something they have broken...including eggshell!! (Too bad I couldnt be there for Humpty, Dumpty...heheheehe!!). Unfortunately, the original shell on this design was just too far gone to salvage (as you can see), but bless that polymer clay...the snowman was in perfect condition, and so I created a new home in another goose egg for the snowman. The next order came from the man who gave me the idea for my original Noahs Ark egg. An older gentleman and kind soul, I have looked forward to seeing Rich at my craft shows. This time he ordered one of my planter designs and wanted 4 of them. He personalized the pieces I made for him with a to: and from: on the bottom of each planter. I got some pretty fun flowers for each of these planters and they are great reference for me on my zentangle/mendala patterns. In the process of making them, I found I had created a few flowers too many (in the zen zone)...so I made the extra little planter without the saying. The angels came from two separate ladies- two separate orders...one wanted a Babys 1st Christmas on an Angel. And I was able to personalize this with the babys name. The other lady wanted an angel ornament to give to her hairdresser...frankly, I like them both. I think they both turned out pretty good. Personally, I am looking down the throat of show number 3 this weekend. The forecast is for cold weather and it has been snowing here all day long...not to mention the temperature has changed so dramatically today. The boys are plugging along and I am looking forward to having Jerr around this friday (his friday off). Aside from this, I hope you are all having a good day...and if you are anywhere in the USA...stay warm!!...and in that warmth...my many hugs to you all!! :)
