Assesses, examines and cares for patients of all ages. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: ▪ Completion of all necessary clinical assignments required. ▪ Demonstration and documentation of clinical competence required. ▪ Must be considered a "second year student" for hospital based training programs or completed all clinical competencies for college based programs. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: ▪ Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. ▪ As per recommendations of the JCAHO and the Pennsylvania D.O.H., the Student Technician will not be assigned to work any shift alone or solely perform any exams outside the Radiology Department. ▪ A Registered or Registry eligible Radiologic Technologist (as per department policy) must be assigned to work the shift with the Student Technician to supervise the individual. ▪ Work schedule may include weekends and holidays as needed.
