SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT IN SERVICES WILL BE HEEDED BY POLICE TOO I am not sure whether the letter posted here is decipherable . At the height of police action in bridling the auto drivers of Kochi , I wrote to the Commissioner of Police giving 2 alternative suggestions to set the autorickshaw ride hassle free 1) introducing prepaid counters at all importantant places and junctions 2) introducing a digitally issued receipt system,furnishing boarding point, alighting point, distance travelled ,fare etc similar to tickets issued in buses nowadays .This machine will have back up of every transaction ,which Police or MVD officials can always verify subsequently without stopping autos during journeys I am glad that the authorities are considering introducing a similar system as suggested with suitable modifications
