SUMMARY OF THE GOSPEL OF LUKE We discovered that Luke, the doctor, is accredited with this writing. As a historian, he set out to tell the days of The Son Of Man in consecutive order in full detail. In Lukes gospel we see the fulfillment of the things written about Him in the law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms... some things that no other Gospel recorded. He stated his purpose for writing in the first few verses of Luke (1-4). Jesus reached out to the hurting, the sinners, and the outcasts. He visited in their homes and was available and accessible to them. we also saw Jesus withdraw from all people from time to time to spend time with the Father. If He needed time with the Father, then we all the more, need to separate ourselves at times to be with Him. We can minister, but we must be ministered to. We can pour out but must be poured back into. Although Jesus reached out to any people who will receive, He never let it change Him. He had a course set and He stayed the course. People persecuted and ridiculed Him and even called Him a devil but He continued in the Word and fulfilled the prophecies. Jesus born not of the flesh but of the Spirit. Mary a virgin and Holy Spirit overshadowed her. She became with child. When she went to visit Elisabeth the Word of God says the baby lept in her womb! Notice when someone has the same gifting (calling) on their life and are speaking in your presence causes your baby to leap! It happens. if you are an intercessor and in the presence of an anointed intercessor.. u should get the witness in your spirit. If you are in the presence of a Prophet and an anointed prophet begins to speak, that baby should leap for joy in you. We read in places where Mary pondered the things in her heart that were spoken of Jesus. As we read the Word of God there should be places where we ponder the Word in our heart.. Let it speak to us, concerning the things we are facing or will face. Give direction or encouragement or even correction. God still speaks through His word. Someone else may hear it entireky different than you simply because they are in a different place and need different ministry. When a pastor speaks forth the Word of God, it speaks to the whole congregation what they need at that time.. if u hear something that doesnt fit, put it on the shelf and pull it down when needed. He stated to us, you will be persecuted you will be hated but be of good cheer.. if they hated me they will hate u. If they persecuted me they will persecute you. Jesus was rejected and called a winebibber and friend of sinners and publicans.. He also stated when John came He was fasting and hanging out in the wilderness alone.. They called him crazy and found fault in him too.. now with Jesus doing the opposite they find fault. You can not please everybody. Luke 7:33-35 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! But wisdom is justified of all her children We saw Pilate was not even convinced to put Jesus to death but because of what the crowd wanted, he followed the crowd. He ignored the gut feeling, We must have a heart after God and be yielded to Him. Love people, bless people but Love God more. Give Him priority. We ought to obey GOD. Now Jesus saw a colt in another town, tied up and never been ridden before..Even before He was ascended, while His flesh still walked the earth, He saw way over! ... He see you too.. in all your situations and He will untie and deliver you and me. He came to seek and to save that which was lost. He died a cruel death that our sins be forgiven and covered in the blood. Our sister posted many pictures that show the agony. He who had no sons, died to bring many sons to glory. Yet HE LIVES and makes intercession for us.
