SUMMER READING on THURSDAY, JULY 17th - TWO wonderful animal experiences. Twin Lakes Park Ranger, Marissa Stewart, and Americorps volunteer, Emily, brought TURTLES, Leonardo and Michelangelo to the Library and spoke about the various turtle species at the park. Did you know that it is illegal to capture wildlife to keep as pets? Later Officer Bryan came with his K9 partner, Nero, and demonstrated Neros superb detection abilities (just 20 seeds of an illegal substance wrapped in plastic and Nero stopped and focused).
