SUNDAY 21ST DECEMBER 2014 This was the first time we have operated the railway for a public open day at Christmas for many years and we are pleased to say it was very successful, due to of course, to our loyal supporters who turned out in similar numbers to those we see in the summer month. No doubt helped by reasonable weather. It is only through your patronage of the railway that we can operate this popular local facility and it is much appreciated. Next year will see the normal public open days commence in April running through to October. Details of a Christmas event will be published in April. All dates will be published on these pages together with, of course, updates on the railway extension project and other matters of interest. Rugby Model Engineering Society has attracted a number of new members this year but we need more to operate and develop the railway. Operating the railway requires a varied range of practical and administrative skills and you do not have to be a Model Engineer to join us but obviously those already the hobby are very welcome.
