SUNDAY 25TH JANUARY 2015 2015 CCRN PRAYER PROJECT THEME: LET GOD ARISE WEEK 4: WHEN GOD ARISES DAY 7: UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST (Jn. 17:20-21, Acts. 4:32-37, Eph.4:1-6.) One very wicked attitude that the devil has injected into the Church is disunity. Our Lord Jesus saw this and prayed that the Church may be one. Unfortunately, majority of Christians have refused to come to terms with this yearning of our Lord. The body of Christ is well denominated that almost in every street is one meeting house or the other called church. There is the craze of being known as the founder and general overseer of a gathering or so called church. This attitude has eaten so deep in the lives of some believers and has become part of their lives that one begins to wonder the position the Holy Spirit is occupying in the life of these brethren, When God arise He will remove the veil that covers the people to see the tears of Christ for the unity of His Body – the Church. People shall put away ethnicity, tribe, status or class. There shall be room for each others faults. Genuine love for one another shall increase. (John.13:35). Even the Nation shall know the unity of Christ, when the Church loves one another as Christ loved and is truly united. MEDITATION Read 1st Cor.13.Do you realize, without Love one is nothing? Are you contributing to the unity or the division of the Church? What is your response to these pertinent issues? PRAYER BURDEN Ask the Lord to take away the selfishness that blinded the hearts of many leading to disunity. Ask the Almighty GOD to give the Church brotherly love that unites. Pray that the Love of Christ be poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria. Pray as the Holy Spirit leads in your heart.
