SUNDAY TIMING: Hi friends, Kristian Claus - WBOY 12 News in the WBOY - StormTracker 12 Weather Lab. Weve got the full team tracking and covering storms for you this weekend. Theres a lot that can change quickly tomorrow regarding timing and exact storm location. So lets generalize. Two rounds of strong, potentially severe storms move through tomorrow. FIRST ROUND: Early. Anywhere from 3am - 10am early. Exact location? Cant give you an exact location because the storms have a lot of variability. The earliest cells are moving through our far northwestern counties: Tyler, Wetzel, Marion, Mon and then continuing southeast into the mountains. Brief Break: It looks like we catch a break in the thunderstorm action tomorrow from around as early as 9am - as late as 5pm. SECOND ROUND: 1pm - 10pm, with the heaviest cells creating a line of strong to severe thunderstorms moving across the entire viewing area from west to east. Any thunderstorms tomorrow are going to be capable of going severe meaning you could see damaging wind gusts in excess of 58 mph, damaging hail larger than 1 in diameter, or even one or multiple tornadoes touch down in or near our viewing area. As weve been telling you today, you want to get prepared for this weather tonight. Even if we dont see severe (were hoping we do not), its always better to be prepared than unprepared. Well continue bringing you more updates tonight on timing and threats. And well be tracking storms for you beginning early tomorrow morning both online here, at wboy, Twitter and on WBOY 12News with live television cut-ins. Stay safe. Stay weather aware. Have a good night! - Kristian.
