SUNDAY’S WORD: GOD WANTS TO COMBINE YOUR GOOD BAD AND UGLY - TopicsExpress

SUNDAY’S WORD: GOD WANTS TO COMBINE YOUR GOOD BAD AND UGLY EXPERIENCES TO MAKE YOU BEAUTIFUL AND MORE LIKE HIS SON JESUS CHRIST. TEXT: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.” “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom 8:28-30, 37-39. NIV) Have you taken time to observe the ingredients used in baking cake? Do all of them look pleasant? I guess not all will savor the taste of a raw egg. Eating a whole nut of nut-meg might also be dangerous to your health. Apart from the danger it might pose, it makes not much sense to take a small quantity of nut-meg just for the pleasure of it. The cake we usually eat goes through heat to make it a pleasant thing to behold and eat. The churning of the ingredients and the pain it takes to bring it forth, all combines with the heat to roll out the much celebrated cake. As we continue in the challenges of 2014, we must take into cognizance that the Lord will use all our experiences as we yield to Him to make us better and more like him. The call to excel in the image of Christ and also to run in such a way as to win the prize is still imperative Despite our experiences this year let us be resolute in saying that nothing will separate us from the love of Christ.
