SUNNA IS REBORN...AND THE THIRD DAY OF YULETIDE! Since we were out of town all weekend, I did not make my usual posts for the first and second days of Yule on the 20th and the 21st of December, respectively. Those of you who want to read those posts can see my series of Yule videos, as well as many other items, on my You Tube channel. Sheila and I have been with our fellow AFA members the last few days to kick off the Yule season. Gathering in a house rented for the occasion, we spent Saturday - and parts of Friday and Sunday - giving blot, sitting at sumbel, and pouring libation to the alfar. We decorated the home, put up the tree, and exchanged gifts. From beginning to end we were mindful of the Gods and Goddesses, the ancestors, and our Folk. We didnt get much sleep, but I came away more rested and relaxed than I have felt in a very long time. This morning, we were back at home to watch Sunna pour her liquid gold over the Sierra Nevadas for the very first time since her rebirth some hours previously. AFA member and friend Charlotte joined Sheila and I on the balcony facing east. We raised the horn, drank the mead, and called for renewal, for rebirth, for luck, for victory!
