SUPER METRO HYPERMARKET OPENS IN ANTIPOLO CITY ANTIPOLO is considered, as one of the fastest progressive cities in the country with the dominant presence of numerous shopping malls, supermarkets and retail outlets. On October 28, a new concept retail store was formally launched in the city - Super Metro Hypermarket, located along P. Oliveros St. in Barangay de la Paz. Several Antipolo officials, entrepreneurs and other personalities attended the opening rites. The first lady of Antipolo, Mrs. Andeng Ynares, led the ribbon cutting ceremony. Antipolo City First Lady Andeng Ynares thanked the management of Metro for choosing the city as it helped the Antipoleños by way of providing local employment. “Mayroon na namang mga Antipoleño ang nagkaroon ng marangal na trabaho sa pagbubukas nitong Super Metro Hypermarket at sila ay mabibigyan ng pagkakataon na kumita at makapagbigay ng maayos na pamumuhay sa kani-kanilang pamilya,” Mrs. Ynares added. Among those who graced the grand opening of Super Metro were Mr. Ernesto De Jesus from Antipolo Highway Lines Inc., Msgr. Rigoberto De Guzman, Shrine Rector of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage; Mr. Arthur Emmanuel, President and COO of Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc., Dr. Edward Gaisano, Chairman of Vicsal Development Corporation, Rizal Vice-Governor Frisco San Juan Jr., and Ma. Trinidad Marquez of Jesus-Anclote Realty Corporation. Metro Retail Stores Group is currently positioning Super Metro in major cities in the country, as they want to serve more shoppers and more communities. “We selected Antipolo City as one of Super Metros locations because Antipolo is a booming city that provides the business community with a favorable investment climate. Antipolo City is very progressive and that gives Super Metro the opportunity to grow even bigger,” said Metro Retail Stores Group chairman and CEO, Frank S. Gaisano. Metro boasts of 41 stores nationwide that consists of 4 multi-store formats - Metro Department Store, Metro Supermarket, Super Metro Hypermarket and Metro Fresh N Easy Convenience Store. To date, there are 11 Super Metro branches nationwide.
