ILYARAJA s score in this film won him great acclaim. SPOORTHY could not have chosen a better song to sing with MANO who initiates the duet with a silken soft tone. SPOORTHY begins equally well but, in explicably and quite uncharcrestially, stops immediately to resume after a gulp of water.What made her to pause?Mouth suddenly gone dry?One of those little mysterious things that will remain a puzzle.But it proves one thing though. That she is human, and a child at it, after all.Not all times in fallible. Such instances we have seen even among masters.What still amazes you is where does this child draws strength and character to resume and complete the duet competently and completely, oblivious to what happened earlier.That reiterates her special character.Though she has skillfully traversed from being a singer with classic orientation a to light music singer which calls for imparting softness and emotion relatively more,she will realise that this need not necessarily mean that open mouth singing totally yield to a soft timbre and needs to be deployed on occasions in the interest of shruti integrity.Her first time sojourn at the danger zone would only resolve her more to perform better.God bless.
