SUPPOSED to had started 50 miler training 3 weeks ago. Had my first ever 40 mile week and spent a week recovering, and another sick as a dog, I am having a hell of a time coming back from three weeks of 6 miles only. I am eating a lot and running zero, sleeping a lot too. It feels like a depression coming on, I know something is wrong, I just can NOT want to run. Ive told everyone and their landlord about this 50 miler in May so I would not back out or downgrade but I may do the 25 miler. I can NOT get out the door to run and it has never happened before. I have seen a few posts from some of you struggling this season too. What is my deal? I tell myself every day, ok, your going out to hit those trails today and I sleep instead. To boot, I feel another cold or whatever coming on. I feel depressed kuz Im not running and I am not running because I am depressed. UGH I am so frustrated and getting chubby. Which depresses me lol. I know just do it come up but... I dunno. Has anyone hit a blegh/bottom/been completely unmotivated to run after running joyously forever? It is scary! Please reassure me/kick my ass/drag me by my collar outside.
