SURVIVOR SERIES 2014 REVIEW: SPOILERS! Im skipping the Pre-show matches because I wasnt able to see them, and really what would have have gained from having seen those. Fatal 4-Way tag team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship - Really damn good match! Each team got a chance to shine and there were some real stand out moments! Totally called that Mizdow/Miz would pick up the win, but I didnt mind. A 4-on-4 Divas Traditional Survivor Series elimination tag team match - Long, tedious, and a total waste of Paige! The few highlights there were came from Paige, Emma, and Naomi doing their usually good work, but other than that, a complete waste of time! D- Bray Wyatt VS Dean Ambrose - Solid Match! Felt more like a brawl at times, but given the two guys in the ring it felt appropriate. Good hard-hitting moves from each of them, and Deans imitation of Brays corner taunt was fun! Didnt mind the DQ finish because unlike at BATTLEGROUND we didnt get baited and switched! Although, it did feel a bit too much like a trailer from TLC in a few weeks. Other than that, pretty good match! B+ Adam Rose and (Ugggggh) The Bunny VS Slater Gator - Funny story this was added to show last minute, and dude it feels like it! Mercifully it was short, and to be the fair the image of Adam with his hand still outstretched, and looking flabbergasted was kinda funny. Still this bunny shit needs to end, and this match was more proof of that! F Nikki Bella vs AJ Lee for the Divas Title - OK, so the match that I assumed would be a complete car-wreck.... was still a car wreck, but was at least lightning quick! OK, so the story here is that Brie is Nikkis personal assistant (Dont care) and that she is being forced to help Nikki (So Dont care) and to distract AJ so Nikki can win this match... Brie kisses AJ! I did a double take to make sure I saw it right, but yes we all saw a lesbian kiss on a WWE PPV in modern day! Nikki wins with the TITure rack and I guess Brie is EVIL now.... (WHAT?!?!) Bad, but shorter than Adam Rose so I guess I cant hate it too much. D+ Team Cena VS Team Authority - OK, I have been a WWE fan for the better part of EIGHT YEARS, so you can trust me when I tel you that this match was AWESOME! Not only did we get to see the newer talent like Erick Rowan, Seth Rollins, Luke Harper, Rusev, and Dolph Ziggler given most of the focus, but all of the vets. like Big Show, Mark Henry, and even JOHN FRIGGIN CENA werent the main focus. It wouldve been so easy for it to come down to John Cena fighting a 4 on 1 fight, but it didnt instead the fate of the WWE rested on the shoulders of Dolph Ziggler! Dolph gave probably what will be seen as a career defining performance as he takes on Rusev (Nice Table Smash) Luke Harper, Seth Rollins, and Kane all by himself! By the end of this match he is selling his exhaustion like he got smacked by a semi, and it was awesome! The last 10 minutes of this match had me on the edge of my seat, and feeling that hasnt been matched since I was 10 years old! Finally, and the cherry on the sundae, after 20 long years, STING debuts in a WWE ring, and hits HHH with a Scorpion Death Drop, then places Dolph on Seth for the win! When me and my friend heard the sound of a crow echo through the Arena we both marked out like five year olds on a sugar high! If I have any complaint with this match, its that while awesome, Stings Grand entrance couldve been a bit better, but what we got was still pretty good! Dolph gets the wins and that hug he shared with Cena might be one of my new favorite moments! A+ OVERALL: Survivor Series is one of the better shows this year and by keeping most of the potentially terrible matches lightning quick they made thing better and more tolerable! I loved this show and that main event brought me right back to being a kid again! 8.0 out of 10 - Great
