SUSPECT Presents: Soul Of The Hood 2: SOUL FOOD: The Trilogy (Appetizer, Entrée, Dessert) May 13th 2012 an Orlando based rapper (by way of Kansas City) named Suspect made the biggest move of his professional career, he released his first music video. His first visual shared two songs, “Beggin 4 Quarters” & “City Life” off his debut project “Soul Of The Hood: The Mixtape” which was released June 28, 2012. Now Suspect was widely known throughout the OZONE (Orlando’s local Hip Hop community) due to his heavy presence within the showcase & open mic circuits., but he knew in order to further advance his career he had to do much more than that & this first music video of his was the constant reminder. Since the release of “Beggin 4 Quarters | City Life” Suspect has opened for all of Strange Music & MGK during their Hostile Takeover Tour, Big K.R.I.T during the Live From The Underground tour, Juicy J’s Smokers Club Tour, all of Funk Volume, Gorilla Zoe’s Animal House Tour, Chris Webby’s Bars On Me Tour, Del The Funky Homosapien’s tour & soon Dizzy Wright’s Golden Age Tour (10/19/13), plus over 50 local open mics & showcases. Furthermore he dropped ten music videos, recorded over 100 songs & has features from Jon Connor, Dizzy Wright, Madd Illz & Blood Raw with production from YMCMB’s The Avengerz, GL Productions, DJ Prezzident & Sound click extraordinaire Twan BeatMaker & Chris Mecca, The craziest part about all of this work since the release of his first music video & mixtape is that he financed this all himself with one full time job (while financially supporting his two daughters) and did so in the course of a year & some change. Now that’s food for thought! While we’re on the note of food, all this work Suspect has put in over the course of a year & a half inspired him to correlate it with soul food. After all, his music is just that, food for your soul! As mentioned before he has recorded over 100 songs (a few of which include some of the biggest names in independent Hip Hop as well as some of the biggest brands in Hip Hop like YMCMB for instance) and one cds worth of music would simply not suffice. Therefore Suspect along with his management came up with the idea of taking the best of his unreleased yet new music and split it into three projects under the Soul Of The Hood mixtape series with their own unique branding now labeled “SOUL FOOD”. The first Installment within this #SOTH2 #SOULFOOD series is “The Appetizer” set to release first quarter of 2014. The Appetizer will be the attempt of Suspect looking to truly establish a nationwide following and will serve as a FREElease to the public. Six months after “The Appetizer” Suspect will then drop his (FOR SALE) project “The Entrée” which will be on sale for Suspect to begin seeing a return on all his investments & truly display his art in a manner where anyone can truly compare him to the best out at the moment (Such as Dizzy Wright being a 2013 XXL Freshman). Six months after “The Entrée” Suspect will end the #SOULFOOD series with “The Dessert” which is expected to be another freelease. In a nutshell Suspect wants to give his growing fan base a free project as appreciation for them tuning in, then hit the road on his first tour with “The Entrée” so he can turn his graveyard shifts at his J-O-B in for a legitimate career as a recording artist and lastly release another free mixtape as a token of his appreciation for all who’ve helped him turn this dream into a reality! This Soul Of The Hood 2: SOUL FOOD: The Trilogy is the masterpiece from the HARDEST WORKING artist in this genre of Hip Hop whose done it, done it right, done it in a manner true to himself and done it all on minimum wage while supporting a family (no investors, no trust fund, no financial backing whatsoever).
