SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF SPORT FISHERIES FOR COMMUNITIES IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA Local-based coastal and inland sport fishing ventures in PNG could enhance livelihoods from smallholder fisheries. This one-year project is investigating existing sport fishing enterprises for Black Bass and similar species in Papua New Guinea in order to develop an understanding of pertinent management issues and to identify gaps and research needs.
