SW wind is leaving the southern corners with the cleanest - TopicsExpress

SW wind is leaving the southern corners with the cleanest conditions. Swell is SE with the open beaches picking up some large waves but get in early while the wave face is still reasonably clean. Southern headlands will have waves all day with lower tide producing some bigger waves. Main breaks around town will have waves all day but they will be smaller. A high to the west extends a strengthening ridge of high pressure over New South Wales today, while a deep low remains over the eastern Tasman Sea. The ridge is expected to remain the dominant feature in the region over the next few days, briefly weakening during Friday as a frontal system passes across the south, before reasserting itself on the weekend. Winds: South to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots, reaching 25 knots north of Crowdy Head during the afternoon and evening. Seas: 1.5 to 2 metres. Swell: Southerly 1.5 to 2 metres. coastalwatch/surf-cams-surf-reports/nsw/port-macquarie
