The latest survey results for wolverine from winter 2014 show that the wolverine population is stable or possibly decline slightly. The reference value for the wolverine is 600 and a population estimate based on survey results show that there were about 647 wolverines. Minimum rates for wolverine They decided reference values describe the minimum number that corresponds to a favorable conservation status of wolverine on a national level. Environmental Protection Agency has decided that it will find sminst 96 annual regeneration of wolverines in the country. 93.5 of them should be within the counties of Norrbotten, Västerbotten, Jämtland and Västernorrland. At least 2.5 litters should be in Dalarna. Most regenerations, 46, will be in Norrbotten County.
