SWEET REVENGE FOR TOYOTA It was an upset loss for Hunters who controls the tempo of the ballgame till the last seconds of the final chapter but the fate turns around at Toyota’s side. Hunters could’nt find their finishing touches in the end game particularly at the crucial stage of the ballgame. In the last 53 seconds of the game, Hunters protecting a 6 point lead, but Hunters cannot find the grip to handle the basket ball well. Hunters outrebounded by Toyota at crunchtime and converted their fastbreak attempts to tie the ballgame at 57 a piece, with just 19 ticks remaining in the gameclock. Hunters took the game in a hurry and Dacula misses a 15 footer, Toyota got the rebound and quickly brings the ball back, a missed shot by Capuz gave hope to the Hunters team, but San Juan battles for the rebound, picks up the loose ball and buries the trey from point-blank range to get the upperhand at 59-57. Hunters has still 4 second to bring it to overtime or steal the game from the rainbow but Hunters ballhandler ran out of time. Toyota joyfully celebrated their victory for they got the sweet revenge over Hunters who devastatedly tackles them on their first meeting. As expected, Halaba once again did not make it to the ballgame. Tropang Alaya won. • I stand corrected by my report on last week match between Tropang Alaya and Falqy, even Tropang Alaya losses to Falqy, Tropang Alaya still remains at the top of the team standings based on quotient system. I did forgot the first meeting was a very controversial one, Falqy walks out and did not finish the ballgame which gave +20 points on Tropang Alaya’s side. It matters to all the participating teams to be on top for we are going to have a crossover-knockout system. My apology to the whole Falqy team.-NB
