Especially, when people start building churches first, those things were more common. When the disciples laid hands on people in today’s passage, they received the Holy Spirit. There were wonders and miracles by the disciples. These things can happen. We do not have to deny it. Sometimes God sends the Holy Spirit and the spirit of healing to people. While we are enjoying these gifts, however, we also should be sure that seeing or experiencing a miracle is not enough. As SWIM says, “The miracle must happen within the person.” Miracles, wonders, and healings are God’s gift and it is our part to develop those gifts to be a way to follow Jesus Christ. After our retreat, I have heard some news that our church members experienced physical healing. It is great news. Let us pray that God heal us not only our body but also our spirit.
