SXSWCARES.COM If you have enough money to party for even one of many celebrated nights of SX then I think you probably have enough to throw a few dollars towards this very worthwhile cause. I am not saying this to toot my own horn, because when in fast food and convenient store situations, I donate every possible time and I refuse to sign one of those pathetic stickers that they plaster all over the store front because it is NEVER important in my opinion to know where the money comes from. So please believe me, it actually embarrasses me in a very negative way to say to a single person, much less ALL of you, but I give as much as I am able to afford. So much so that I have literally angered my own friends at times. I give to every single panhandler (and no I dont give a damn if they are just going to by intoxicants with it. None of my business. Its agape) I see and to every charity that I sincerely believe isnt a scam. Please, do not get this twisted. I am not a rich man, and by no means am I some sort if lucrative philanthropist. I am a man of very modest means but of the mindset that if I just eat two pb and j sandwiches for dinner tonight instead of the steak I wanted, then its well worth it to me to give 10 one dollar bills to 10 different people in need. If you disagree with this mindset, feel free to embarrass yourself with a jackass comment below. The more the drama and spectacle on Facebook, more attention so have at it. Again, I feel completely embarrassed about what seems like something Im boasting about in a very direct way, but thats just not the case. I am merely, in a way that could probably be done much better, trying to point out that no, I am not just pushing this cause on you because its my city and its victims are some of my neighbors. I am, however, pushing this on you because like any tragic event or situation that I truly believe finance can help, I feel its my duty to promote, even if its shamelessly and bluntly awkward, to raise any kind of buzz about this website and donating to a wonderful cause to help innocent families get back on track.... Yes, even if it means I have to go on a tacky seemingly self centered rant to garner attention.
