Head - Food and Beverages Job Code: EPSF&B Job Location: Chennai (Madras) Job Description: Creates, develops and implements an effective strategy of organization within the Food and Beverage department, setting objectives for future growth and expansion. Formulates, administers and enforces departmental policies and performance standards. Participates in setting marketing policies and goals designed to attract customers. Ensures departmental compliance with applicable Federal and State laws governing food and beverage. Confers with General Manager to review property wide and departmental employee concerns discussing needed changes and potential solutions. Coordinates all activities on property relating to recruitment, interviewing, testing, selection, orientation, transfers, promotions, and terminations, to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with established company policies and procedures. Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the Food and Beverage department by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, assisting with career development, disciplining and terminating employees, as needed. Sets priorities for the all Food and Beverage Managers, providing guidance and assistance as needed. Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction throughout the property, in the area of Food and Beverage, is achieved and maintained. Functional Area: Hotel Management Functional Role: GM/Head/VP Food & Beverage Candidate Requirement Candidate must have 5 years senior F&B Management experience with 10 years progressive food and beverage management experience in quality multi-site operations Knowledge of health and sanitation process and regulations. Post secondary education specializing in Hospitality Management an asset Excellent interpersonal skills including team building and organizational skills Strong leadership, both written and verbal communication skills Thorough knowledge and proven budgeting, forecasting and financial administration skills are essential Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Ability to implement and maintain very high consistent key standards Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Micros, Opera) Good analytical and problem solving skills.
