Sack Interior Affairs Minister Now – Official Urges Jonathan Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) ex president, Rotimi Akeredolu is sure that Minister for Internal Affairs and the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) should be sacked immediately over the tragic death of 19 people during the weekend recruitment disaster. Scores of youth were crushed to death in a stampede all across the country. Putting the blame on the event organizers, the opposition party chieftain noted that they had sold almost one and a half millions of application forms for a supposed 4500 vacancies nationwide. Calling it a scam Akeredolu added that the Comptroller of Nigeria Immigration Service and the Minister of Interior immediately were responsible for the tragedies. He also stressed the importance of carrying out a thorough investigation into the case and concluded saying: It should now be clear to apologists of this government that it has done almost nothing to create hope for our youth. The sheer number of the mammoth crowd who practically seized all the venues of the organised crime is instructive. Todays report indicate that President Goodluck Jonathan has summoned the mentioned ministers in connection with the recruitment test tragedy.
