Sad The Lord Mayor didnt consult with his HCC colleagues yesterday before he issued his angry official media release about the port being used to export wood chips. I would have concerns too but the strategy to address this issues should have been more considered and not knee jerk - bringing HCC in disrepute into the parliament is not productive. His key point was that he wasnt consulted by the government about the proposal _ does any one else see the contradiction when he was criticising the gov for not consulting - The premier is right The Lord Mayor is using this as an election stunt. Working with his colleagues constructively ( rather than as a one man band) should be his focus if he is given another term. Rudd was a relative saint compared with this.
