Sad day for us long-time Wisconsin State Journal sports staffers as we remember our former colleague Susan Denk. She died overnight of a heart attack while on vacation in Chicago. It was in Chicago where I saw Susan a few weeks ago at Big Ten football media days. She covered the Iowa Hawkeyes for the Burlington Hawk Eye. She was always smiling and always had such kind things to say. All of us who were lucky enough to work with her will miss her dearly!
