Sad story. Nina wanted to play ball with the ham hock that she managed to save all winter. We do not normally throw bones, mind you. The first 2 throws went great, and she was having a blast. The last throw took a bad hop and went into the pond. Not the shallow part... Nina wanted to dive right in - it was all I could do to distract her with real balls to keep her from going after that 6 month old bone at the bottom of the pond. Long story short - no more throwing 6 month old ham hocks :)
