‘Saddle Up Guys’ Sunday rides are never routine. Every Sunday we have a new and beautiful experience, riding around Nagpur and inside the city as well. Every experience is so unique that attempts to compare two rides generally fail. This Sunday ride to mystery waterfalls behind Zilpi lake was another such. The beauty of it, apart from pedaling in the rain and bathing and frolicking in the waterfalls, was the addition of 5-6 new members in one go. Prasad Pitale brought along a friend, so did Amol Khante a few of his. Vladimir came with Benny. Another beautiful feature was the return to riding of Raj Mahadik, Amol Ghate, Yasha Jain and Vijay Sharma. Mukul Barhanpure, Amit and Ashish Telrandhe and Madan provided support as they always do. But it was Sunil Bhure who stole the show, providing us sumptuous breakfast on the spot. We had asked him for bread-bhurji and poha. He brought these delicacies, plus idli and wada sambar and served us hot right near the waterfalls. Ganesh Kshirsagar, Anil Jaiswal and Angat Bhatti were in their elements, providing much-needed entertainment with their wit and enthusiasm. We were also lucky to have Lucky, who was so helpful as riders crossed the downstream leading to the waterfalls. All in all, another great ride. Another reason to ride a bicycle. And with ‘Saddle Up Guys’. Only condition: You gotta have a headgear. PS: Ganesh suffered an injury that had to be stitched. We wish him a speedy recovery. Get well soon, Ganesh. And get back to riding asap. We will miss you next ride.
