Sadly my Uncle Dave passed away this past Thursday the 4th. He did many great things for a huge number of people during his life, but for me personally he was an integral part of why I finished college at Berklee when I wanted nothing more than to drop out and give up during my junior year. He took me aside at a family event during the fall of my junior year and promised me that if I stuck it out and finished strong he would be there at my graduation no matter what. Sure enough I finished, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and he was there on my graduation day just like he said he would be. I will always be so thankful for him talking sense into me that day and for keeping his promise. Without that one conversation I most likely would not have finished college and perhaps would not be a professional musician today. Thank you Uncle Dave. I miss you, I love you, rest in peace.
