Safety Drill and K-9 search was conducted at Jabish Brook Middle School This was a safety drill - there was no real emergency. A K-9 search and safety drill was conducted at Jabish Brook Middle School at 10:15 am this morning. This emergency response practice drill was coordinated with the Belchertown Police Department in compliance with our safe schools training initiatives. Students were held in classrooms behind locked classroom doors for approximately 20 minutes while members of the Belchertown Police Department and Franklin County Sheriff’s Department conducted a building search with K-9 dogs and officers through our hallways.
