We are currently looking for : Safety Officer Job Description Main Role : To ensure that all persons on the School campus understand, implement and follow the safety policies and procedures of the School and to ensure that all facilities are available to allow compliance with Indonesian laws and regulations as well as the expectations of the School. Responsibility : To ensure all safety procedures are followed and safety equipment is used as necessary. Train staff, contractors and related persons in all areas of safety including procedures, use of equipment, documentation and reporting. Ensuring SOPs are developed and followed and that safety checklists are completed thoroughly, with attention to detail Ensure an exceptional and consistent level of service, delivering the key performance indicators and a clean and professional environment Effective and efficient management of contractors working within the School and in doing so shall take full responsibility for the safety of these people. Organize and deliver the induction and training of staff within the school, ensuring all staff have the skills to undertake their work safely. Actively support and work with the Campus Manager and Health and Safety Advisor to maximize safety within the School. Maintain a high profile in all areas of the School. Ensure that all safety equipment is well maintained and serviced Ensure that a high level of housekeeping is maintained within the School supported by a cleaning and housekeeping schedule and adherence to best practice Ensure that all hazards are reported and actions taken to minimize the risk of these hazards Ensure that all fire and building regulations and procedures are complied with Liaise with the security personnel when necessary to ensure appropriate discipline of contractors Review and update Risk Assessments, and ensure understanding amongst the appropriate staff Reporting incidents in the Duty Log and filing reports to other staff as required (minor/major incidents & accidents) Proactively implement agreed strategies designed to ensure that all persons are safe to the highest standards at all times and that best safety and service standards are achieved Work closely and cooperatively with all other departments Be the point of contact for all safety related issues Requirements: Minimum Diploma / Bachelor degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification Minimum 4 years’ experience in Safety Fluent in English both oral and written ; computer literate Good knowledge in Health and Safety policies and procedure is essential Good communication skills and Customer relationship, able to handling conflict and students. Excellent planning and organising skills. Able to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines. Possess an energetic, dynamic, responsible and systematic nature.
