Said good-bye to my sweetie today: hes somewhere over the Atlantic, binge watching movies and having a grand time. It was a tearful good-bye (on my end) as I nervously launched myself into the throngs of travelers at Gare du Nord in Paris. I felt like a little girl off to school by herself for the first time. I successfully navigated two trains (both first class - Eurail passes get classier after age 26) and a bus ride to arrive in Bastogne, Belgium, to a sweet, cozy room under the eaves at the top of a quaint hotel, and to the best damn steak dinner Ive ever eaten. I walked around town, got a chocolate ice cream cone, and am now watching 13 Going on 30 dubbed in French. Its a pretty perfect day. Yes it is.
