Said goodbye to a friend today....J. Richard Studenny. Long time Tulsa attorney and TU graduate. He was our corporate attorney and a friend....to all. Richard and I interacted on a weekly basis...usually on NDAs (non-disclosure agreements and supply agreements) I got to know his pet peeves and his incredibly dry sense of humor. He was always impeccably dressed! Today when the family showed the pictures from the celebration of his life...I got to see him in casual clothes for the first time ever....loved his wife, his kids, his grandkids and his occupation. He was a gentleman and incredibly loyal to our company. Even during the adversity in his life he held himself with dignity and did not blame anyone but held to the belief that he had represented his client well....his daughters learned a valuable life lesson from him. WOW! Found out he loved Looney Tunes and The Muppets....but this doesnt surprise me in the least....wish I had known sooner and would have been able to discuss this with him.....also found out about his acceptance of Jesus in his life and was not aware of his spiritual life before today.....I shall miss him. At the end of the slide show today the last slide was the Looney Tunes sign-off.....how fitting!
