Sainik School Manasbal celebrates Founder’s Day MANASBAL, SEPTEMBER 12: J&K Sainik School Manasbal celebrated death anniversary of late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, as the Founder’s Day. All the teachers and the students of the school attended the function, presided over by the Principal, Sheikh Gayas-ud-Din. The participants threw light on different aspects of the multi dimensional personality of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. In the declamation contest Master Aijaz of Class 12th and Master Alla-ud-Din of Class 10th secured first and 2nd positions respectively. Master Aijaz termed Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah as an everlasting and eternal day break of freedom of prosperity. Master Alla-ud-Din in his speech said that Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was bestowed with enlightment to ignite the spirit of Kashmir against aggression and oppression in whatever form it existed. The Principal in his presidential address said that the establishment of SKUAST, SKIMS and Sainik School Manasbal by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah symbolizes his vision for prosperity, healthy and educated Kashmir. The land to tiller act was a revolution in itself that epitomized Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah as a saviour of the rights of the common people. He further impressed upon the teachers and the students of the School that all of us owe a thankful allegiance to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah for having established this school. The Principal on the occasion made an announcement that celebration of founder’s Day will be regular feature of the school calendar in future.
