Sakhi TV is on air..... Sakhi TV telecast was officially launched at a grand function held at the Nishagandhi open-air auditorium on the 17th of August, 2014, coinciding with the Malayalam New year day of Chingam 1. The auditorium was jam packed with well-wishers of Sakhi Channel, who came in from all parts of India and outside, to witness this historic event. The inaugural function started sharp at 6.30 pm, with the arrival of the honorable Governor of Kerala, Smt. Sheila Dikshit. Sakhi TV Managing Director Mr. Sreeraj Menon welcomed the guests, Chairman Dr. R R Nair talked about Sakhi TV’s background . Sakhi directors and other speakers in their short, but meaningful speeches, all congratulated the Sakhi team for launching a TV channel meant for women empowerment, which has become essential for the up-liftment of the society. Hon. Governor, Smt. Sheila Dikshit officially switched on the Sakhi TV Telecast, also wished good luck to the Sakhi Team in its endeavor. The function was followed by a mega entertainment show.
