Sales Representative(Field Agents) Deadline: 09 August 2013 (Nairobi, Kenya) Salary: Undisclosed Organization Overview: SunCulture is a technology start-­‐up based in Nairobi, Kenya that designs and sells solar-­‐powered irrigation products and services to small-­‐scale Kenyan farmers. The company’s AgroSolar Irrigation Kit combines the efficiency of low-­‐pressure drip irrigation with the reliability of solar power to reduce farmers’ input costs by up to $6,000 annually and increase crop yields by up to 300%. The company provides farmers in Kenya with a complete “business in a box” including the AgroSolar Irrigation Kit, installation, training and after-­‐sales support to make it cheaper and easier for farmers to grow food. Specific Tasks Will Include: Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for SunCulture’s products/services. Makes telephone calls and in-­‐person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers. Work in the field. Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. Resolves customer problems and complaints. Coordinates sales effort with sales and technical team Analyzes the territory/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products/services Plans and organizes personal sales strategy Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive Keeps up to date with product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas. Participates in trade shows and conventions Performs site visits in various Kenyan regions Ideal Qualifications: Completed or currently enrolled in 4-­‐year university program Previous agriculture sales experience is required.
