Salt Lake City, Utah SLC police clear Brett Olsen and justify the Geist shooting. This news is not surprising. From day one Chief Burbank has shown favoritism to his hero cop- Brett Olsen and disdain for the protesters and those who spoke out in opposition. Dogs Shot By Police contacted police officials early on but none of our questions could be answered: Why the police search of the childs home was so ineffective? The child was there all along. Why would Olsen fire a handgun at a dog in a yard where he thought the child might be hiding? How many hours of dog-encounter training the SLC PD had given their officers in the last 5years? The SLC PD was short on answers and long on no comment. The police spokesperson did tell us that the Chief was interested in some training from the Humane Society after the fallout from this atrocity. That is too little and too late, Chief Burbank.
