Salve Regina composed over 900 years ago, in the year 1096, calling for the intercession of the Queen of Heaven -the Salve Regina: The link to the song as sung over 900 years ago is below, these paragraphs: In this Song Our Blessed Virgin Mary is called Mother of Mercy – Mater Misericordiae: Which she is indeed the Mother of True Mercy – Our Beloved Lord Jesus, We also see that she is called our hoped: For this most beautiful Woman who in Genesis was foretold was, indeed, the hope of all the Patriarchs of the Old Testament, for by Her Humility, She would bring the Eternal Word –Jesus- from Heaven to reside in Her Most Pure womb and thereby crush the prideful head of Satan. And our hope: for in Genesis “I will make enmities between thee and the Woman…”, To be an enemy is to be not a captive, thus from the beginning this Most noble Virgin was at odds with Satan. By the merits of our Lord Jesus- who is outside of time: His Passion was applied to His most Beautiful Mother, thus, keeping Her free from original sin and thereby being a most worthy Ark /Tabernacle of the Most High God; To This Most Holy Pure Lady, in the Angel Gabriel’s dialogue, was simply addressed: ‘Hail full of Grace’ and a little later the Angel reassures Her not only is She filled with Grace, but indeed hast found Grace as well:’ Fear not Mary For Thou hast found Grace.’ She who is full of Grace most sweetly reflects all her gifts back to the Author of all good gifts - The Most Blessed Trinity- Her Humility -‘My souls does Magnify the Lord’; finds this grace(For She- the finder – is also the Safe guard of Grace, most surely as the Eternal Father trusted His Most Prize possession- His Divine Son in Her Care, trusts this most gentle Virgin to safeguard His Divine’s Son merits- Grace) which was lost from the beginning of the world, and for us creatures, now, who have the misfortune to fall into sin, She pleads with her Divine Son for the lost child to be restored to Grace, and thereby obtaining Her Divines Son’s pardon and consequently His merits; thus restoring the poor creature to our Father’s house. It was said we don’t know if the Prodigal Son had a mother, but surly if he had, he would have returned even quicker, if he had the intercession of a good Mother as Our Beloved Queen Mary. And the God who the Heavens can’t contain resided nine months in the womb of this most pure humble maiden & then, He-the Author of Grace- is given to us from the gentle arms of the Mother of God - As it is so in Scripture, When this most humble maiden came unto Her cousin Elizabeth, St. Elizabeth, who Cries out: how is it that the Mother of My Lord should come unto me, in the ancient Text ADONAI was the word used in lieu of Lord -Definition of ADONAI —used in place of YHWH as a name of the God of the Hebrews during prayer recitation . Origin of ADONAI. Hebrew ădhōn; in other words: How is it that the Mother of My God should come unto me. As our Mothers had given birth to us a human person, The Pure Virgin: the Living Ark gave birth to a Person, a very Special Person- a Divine person –The Second Person of the Blessed Trinity- ‘The Word was made Flesh and dwelt amongst us.’ At the wedding Feast of Cana: For the married couple, who ran out of wine, Our Blessed Lady interceded with Her Divine Son and the Author of Life responded with the word Woman – the word Woman was an Honor our Divine Master had given to his Most Pure Mother; for it is in Genesis that foretold of enmity between Lucifer and a Woman- , Thus our Divine Master addressed to His most humble Creature and Beloved Mother: ‘Woman why trouble Thyself for it is not my time.’ Our Beloved Master did not tell His Blessed Mother that she could not intercede, but He was warning Her, that if He commences now the Public display of proof of His Divine Nature, He in essence has signed his death sentence; for His enemies will start plotting His Death –Thus begins the departure from His early private years with His Blessed Mother and now the sorrowful journey, the way of His cross, begins. And now the Prophecy -‘That a sword of Sorrow shall pierce Thy own Heart’ foretold to this Sweet Mother of God when she presented Her Divine Son the’ Word Made Flesh’ in the temple- will begin physically in time on a day of a Marriage celebration. Our Blessed Mother Reflects, ‘pondering all these things in her Heart’- The sword of Sorrow- does not hold back Her request, but says to the servants’ what every my Son tells you to do, do thee it.’ Our Mother: The Most Holy one, the Chosen one of the Most High God not only was destined to be the Mother of God, ‘Word Made Flesh’ upon Her acceptance in the little town of Nazareth, but in Her complete surrender of Her Immaculate Son to the Cross to bring forth our Salvation, She said yes to the Eternal Father and brought all who accepts Him, the Eternal ‘I am’ to Eternal life – a rebirth made possible by Christ Merits and the acceptance long ago by this Most Humble Maiden: offering Flesh of Her Flesh Bone of Her bone to the Eternal Father to atone for our guilt. Thus Our Lord’s last Words were recorded by His Beloved Apostle Saint John, but pay close attention to the way St. John records these words: St. John writes my Lord said to his disciple, St. John did not write Our Lord said unto me, but to his disciple: ‘Behold thy mother’. A disciple copies their Master, He follows the discipline of the Master – that is the way he lived, and thus we are to become like our Master we too, take this humble Maiden as our Mother. Volumes on this Most Pure Virgin Mother can be quoted from the early Church Fathers; The Song written over nine hundred Years ago simply sums up their confidence in Her in a line in the Song: Turn, Then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us . Now for the Song: Click link: Salve, Regina, mater misericordiae: Vita, dulcedo, et spes nostra, salve. O clemens: O pia: O dulcis Virgo Maria. Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears. Turn, then, most gracious advocate, Thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus; O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary. V.
